六合双钩

Liuhe Hook Swords

The hook swords are an old weapon stemming from the short hook piercers of ancient times. Originally it combined the moon blade as guard and its base as a dagger then added the sword but with hooking feature.

There are a few different designs with variations on its function (e.g. some have a hook, others have short trident, and some just a straight sword). The advantage is that there is a blade all around the weapon and it can be used both deal with long range weapons but also as short attacks.

There are two sets of practice within Liuhe Quan (actually two different types of hook swords), these are:

Liuhe Shuang Gou (Six Harmonies Hook Swords)
Meihua Shuang Gou (Plum Blossom Hook Swords)
